If you are not familiar with racing season or Saratoga Springs, not to worry, I will fill you in. The horses run everyday except Tuesday. During racing season Tuesday is called ‘dark day’ but all it means is that you have the entire day to do other things and thankfully there is much to do in our city in the country. Below is a list of places that might interest you.
National Museum of Racing: Hall Of Fame: 191 Union Avenue at Ludlow Street. Open everyday during racing season from 8am-5pm 518-584-0400
Roosevelt Spa: Saratoga State Park: Do something very quintessentially Saratoga and treat yourself to a mineral bath (great for hangovers) call for an appointment 1-800-452-7275 ext#4
Victoria Pool: Saratoga State Park: A short walk from Roosevelt Spa this public pool primarily for adults (families with small children are encouraged to go to Peerless Pool)
Open everyday from 10am until 6pm. $8. Victoria pool reaches its 344 person max. capacity around 10:30am so if you are not an early riser come back around 2pm.
Bow-Tie Cinema: Every Tuesday all year long, all the movies are just … SIX DOLLARS!! That’s right kids! $6 no matter what movie or what time of day. Railroad Place in Downtown Saratoga Springs!!
If you are a do-gooder, the Red Cross is having a blood drive today at the Saratoga Springs Public library.
